The Città di Busto (city of Busto) lodge stands at 2.480 m.a.s.l., is owned by CAI and was inaugurated in 1928.

It can be reached running along Morasco lake and following the dirt road (or the trail) until Bettelmatt plain, quite well known for its cheese.

Along this plain, during summer, one can see a caravan of extra actors and mules who follow the ancient “Sbrinz Route” that, in seven days, goes from Lucerne to Domodossola crossing the Gries pass.

The Bettelmatt cheese has been made since the XIII century by Walser people. This suggested track goes back along a very steep trail made of steps. Otherwise you can return along the same trail used to get to the lodge.
