An itinerary among nature and historic towns facing Lake Orta. The trail crosses the towns of Miasino and Ameno among small hamlets, historic centers and natural beauties of the valley of Agogna. This valley has always represented an important connection, so much so that some necropolis and burial grounds from the Iron Age were discovered, together with the passage of Celts and Romans. Along the Agogna an ancient forge is visible, used to work with iron, built by Rio Membra at the slopes of Monte Mesma.

Miasino, a small ancient town, was part of the feud of Riviera di San Giulio during the Middle Age. It was the seat of many noble houses that, to this day, make Miasino a town rich in spectacular architecture. The town is dominated by the church of San Rocco where, in the area below, there is the Giardino dei Semplici (garden of Semplici): here around 80 officinal plants are present.
