This trail starts from Pella’s historical center where a paved road goes up towards Ventraggia and Centonara towns, later following the asphalt road reaching Artò and Boleto. These two make up the town of Madonna del Sasso, part of the Ecomuseum of lake Orta and Mottarone.
The sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso, placed on the slope of Mount Avigno, is the arrival point of the trail “le Valli della Fede” (the valleys of faith). It’s a trail that, from Biella, links several sanctuaries in this zone.
The rocky spur where the sanctuary was built has a few discontinuities that are constantly monitored. In 2014 a fracture appeared along the parvis, also known as Cusio’s terrace.
The trail ends with the descent towards Pella, among the woods in the first part and eventually along the asphalt road.
